Our surgeons perform open, minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery is a minimally invasive option for patients facing abdominal or gastrointestinal surgery. Instead of a large abdominal incision, robotic surgery only requires a few small incisions. We use the da Vinci robot which features a magnified, 3D, high-definition vision system and special wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater and more precisely than a human wrist. As a result, our surgeons can operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity and control which is extremely beneficial for performing complex surgeries. Your general surgeon is 100% in control of the da Vinci System.

Our physicians will identify the best strategies to help you achieve your weight loss goals through use of medication and/or minimally invasive surgical techniques. When surgery is recommended, robotic and laparoscopic techniques are utilized, resulting in smaller incisions, shorter recovery times, less pain and reduced chance of infection.

Weight loss surgery is not for everyone. In fact, most people can and do lose weight using more conservative methods. We focus on a multidisciplinary approach to weight loss which combines dietary changes, physical activity, weight loss medication and bariatric surgery to provide the best outcomes for her patients.

Two of the most common weight loss procedures we perform are sleeve gastrectomy (gastric sleeve) and Roux en Y Gastric Bypass (gastric bypass). We also offer revisional bariatric surgery after gastric banding and sleeve gastrectomy. We manage all types of weight loss surgery patients and medical weight loss as well. One of our surgeons is trained in Obesity Medicine and also has a special interest in improving medical problems through weight loss surgery in the adolescent population who suffer from unhealthy weight.
