Abimbola B. Pratt, MD


Dr. Pratt is double board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care and specializes in traumatic injury. He graduated with honors from Columbia University, New York, with a degree in Neuroscience in 2003. He was a John W. Kluge research fellow. His medical degree is also from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. His residency was performed at New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn, formerly New York Methodist Hospital, where he was the Leslie Wise M.D. Outstanding Surgical Resident of the Year 2011 and 2012. His fellowships in Surgical Critical Care, Trauma and Acute care surgery were at Rutgers- Robert Wood Johnson University, New Brunswick, NJ. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University. Dr. Pratt has a particular interest in emergency general surgery, traumatic brain injury, ethics in trauma, innovation in blood utilization and economics of trauma systems. Provides trauma care at several locations, including Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center.
