Adel A. Ahmed Aziz, MD


Adel A. Ahmed Aziz, M.D., FAAN, is a board-certified, fellowship trained neurologist who specializes in cognitive and behavioral neurology. He treats people with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia and other related memory and brain health conditions.
Committed to providing comprehensive care, Dr. Aziz founded and served as director of a memory clinic focusing on clinical care, education and support of patients and their care partners. He is also an avid patient advocate having collaborated with various community organizations to establish outreach programs and unique support groups while offering patients and their families the chance to interact with him outside of the formal clinic setting.
Dr. Aziz earned his medical degree at the University of Al-Fateh Medical School in Tripoli, Libya. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, he also completed Neurology Residency training at University Hospitals of Cleveland and then he completed a cognitive and Behavioral Neurology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
In addition to his clinical expertise as a cognitive neurologist, Dr. Aziz is a recognized speaker at numerous events and served as the Chair for the 2023 Alzheimer's Association Walk. He is also actively involved in research projects to improve the quality of care available to the local communities.
Dr. Aziz’s strong desire to make an impact and help people has led him to a career in medicine. He strives to treat his patients like family, delivering care that promotes healing, respect, autonomy and dignity.
