Dr. Van Dien’s clinical focus includes sports and musculoskeletal injuries, as well as chronic degenerative musculoskeletal conditions. He believes in well-rounded, personalized plans of care that focus on healthy, active lifestyles and patient empowerment. Dr. Van Dien strives to reduce his patients’ pain using therapeutic modalities, exercise, and interventional procedures. He treats patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, ankle/foot, neck and back pain and impaired function. He has expertise in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, which allows him to identify potential sources of pain using real-time imaging. Additionally, he has procedural expertise in ultrasound-guided joint, bursa, tendon and soft tissue injections, viscosupplementation, platelet rich plasma and nerve blocks.
