Ming He, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in neuro-opthalmology. She currently serves as an assistant professor of Neurology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and an attending physician of Neuro-Ophthalmology at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center. She is an expert on optic nerve disease, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, myasthenia gravis, diplopia and central nerve system pathologies affecting visual function.


Dr. He's journey in medicine began at Shanghai JiaoTong Medical School, where she earned her medical degree. She furthered her expertise with a residency and an attending in Ophthalmology at Renji Hospital, Shanghai JiaoTong Medical School, followed by a residency in Neurology at Temple University Hospital. Her passion for neuro-ophthalmology led her to complete a fellowship at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School.


Driven by a commitment to advancing the field, Dr. He has held research positions at renowned institutions like Portola Pharmaceuticals Inc, Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc, and The Prostate Research Center. Her research has been published in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Neurology and Experimental Neuroscience, Nature Medicine, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.


Dr. He is a sought-after speaker and has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences, including the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society Annual Meeting and the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting. She also served as an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Neurology and Experimental Neuroscience and Neurological Cases.


Dedicated to education and mentorship, Dr. He previously held an assistant professor position at Shanghai Second Medical University, China and now holds an assistant professor faculty position at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. She is an active member of professional organizations such as the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and the American Academy of Neurology.
