Neil Majmundar, MD


Neil Majmundar, M.D., is a fellowship trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeon who has joined the Neurosurgery team as part of the Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Dr. Majmundar completed his Neurological Surgery residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School where he was trained in both cranial and spinal surgeries. He then completed his Endovascular Neurosurgery Fellowship at the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. There, he assisted in over 1300 minimally-invasive endovascular neurosurgical procedures.
Dr. Majmundar has given lectures at national neurosurgery conferences and has authored over 50 peer reviewed articles in neurosurgical journals and over 15 textbook chapters focusing on brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and a number of neurosurgical pathologies. He is a member of several professional societies, including the AANS/CNS Joint Guidelines Review Committee, Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS).
