I have experience working as an emergency pediatrician for more than 25 years. I find working in the emergency department exciting because I never know what type of patients will arrive. It is critical to listen carefully to the patient, family and other healthcare professionals, working collectively to improve and treat symptoms, beginning the process toward the road to recovery. I am very fortunate to be working in a field where each day I can really make a positive difference in children’s and families’ lives. I am very passionate about helping children and doing my very best, together with our fantastic team, to provide excellent care to our patients.
Philosophy of Care
Anyone feeling the need to be seen in the pediatric emergency department for whatever reason is likely to feel very stressed and worried. I love working with children and their families, hoping to decrease their anxiety by being caring and empathetic while competently diagnosing and treating their problem.
