Philip Woodham received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from The University of Virginia. He then went on to receive his Medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UMDNJ in New Brunswick. In 2003, Dr Woodham became the owner and Medical Director of Second Street Medical Associates in Hackensack.
With a patient-base focused on the needs of the African-American community, and a special interest in diabetes management, Dr Woodham became a prominent figure in the medical community of Hackensack. In 2014, he joined Hackensack University Medical Group, and developed the innovative concept of a primary care practice on-site at Hackensack Medical Center. This busy practice serves the local community, as well as the employees of Hackensack Medical Center, and their families.
With a continued focus on diabetes care and management, Dr Woodham was awarded with NCQA Diabetes Recognition at the 2019 HMH Quality Conference, with the best outcomes in diabetes care across the entire Hackensack Meridian network. In addition, he is focused on assisting his patients in identifying and meeting their social needs through available resources and programs, thereby positively impacting their overall health and well-being.
Philip Woodham serves as Chief Medical Officer of the Hackensack Physician Alliance ACO; Associate Medical Director of the Commercially Integrated Network; sits on the Physician Council for Horizon-- Braven Health; and Chairs the Physician Satisfaction Committee. He is a well-known and well-respected figure in the Hackensack Meridian community, as well as a skilled diagnostician with a large patient population.
