Sergey Terushkin, MD


Sergey Terushkin, M.D., FACS, Chief of Bariatric Surgery, is a board-certified surgeon with expertise in bariatric and general surgery. Dr. Terushkin has held multiple leadership and mentorship roles throughout his career, including serving as the Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Terushkin is committed to the advancement of minimally invasive bariatric procedures through research, and has been published in several medical journals.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Terushkin actively contributes to community health initiatives. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, reflecting his dedication to advancing surgical standards and patient outcomes.
