Stephen Silver, M.D., Chief, Department of Sports Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, knee, and elbow. Dr. Silver has been serving the community of northern New Jersey for over 20 years. He has spent 10 seasons as NBA team physicians for the New Jersey Nets, now known as the Brooklyn Nets. Dr. Silver has been responsible for a number of innovative advances in rotator cuff repair and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction, and has been recognized as an Orthopedic Top Doctor by Castle Connolly and by 201 Magazine and Bergen Magazine for the past 10 years.
