Sukhdeep Kaur, MD


Sukhdeep Kaur, M.D., is a hematologist-oncologist at John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center. She specializes in stem cell transplantation—including allogeneic transplants (from a donor) and autologous ("self") transplants—for blood cancers and blood diseases. She also oversees the use of cellular therapies in patients, including CAR T-cell therapy—an innovative treatment which trains a patient's white blood cells (called T cells) to find and destroy cancer cells. John Theurer Cancer Center was the first center in New Jersey to establish a CAR T-cell therapy program.
Dr. Kaur received her medical degree from Ross University and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She then went on to complete a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where she was Chief Fellow. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and American College of Physicians.
