Dr. Sodha currently serves as the Chief of Orthopedic Hand Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, and is also an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. He recently joined the newly established and highly regarded practice Orthopedic Specialists of New Jersey, which is affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center.
Dr. Sodha utilizes minimally invasive endoscopic surgical options whenever possible, which reduces recovery time so his patients can get back to doing the things they love. Dr. Sodha was originally inspired to be a hand surgeon while at the University of Pennsylvania, where he experienced a hand injury himself. His surgeon at the time helped him navigate his injury and the experience motivated him to want to help others in the same way. His goal is always to deliver outstanding care to his patients, and his personal care philosophy is to care for the whole patient, not just the hand/wrist.

He was very attentive. He answered all the right questions. And it was, it gave me more clarity on why my pain is so much and what is the next course of action, which gave me a lot of confidence in him and the future plan of action for my pain reduction. So I would definitely recommend Dr. Samir Sodha to any other friends or family who require it, but I would say he was really, really good.
The care I received for my hand surgery was excellent and they paid attention to details.
I waited an hour to see the doctor and then after he saw me I had to wait another 20 minutes to get a shot. So that was a very long appointment for me for just one shot. Thank you.

Loved Dr Sodha. Warm, friendly, introduced himself, listened attentively & offered workable solutions for my issue. Nice office & efficient. Recommend: eliminate X-ray before seeing the MD & minimize that cost/resources. But maybe makes visits more efficient overall.
The first time I met with Dr. Sodha in Franklin Lakes, I got there on time, waited a few minutes, which was fine. He saw me, everything was great, he did what he had to do, which was, I believe, a cortisone shot in my thumb, and that was fine. I came back again to see him now at the Montvale office. I came at the scheduled time, they told me the doctor would be right with me, and I proceeded to wait about at least 30, if not 40 minutes. It was definitely more than 30. And then I finally got frustrated and got up, and as I got up, the nurse was walking in to call my name. I don't like sitting there for such a long period of time.
I liked very much the fact that I went in there, had a consultation, a diagnosis, and a treatment all in one visit. And it was very quick and very concise. Thank you.

Dr Sodha is a wonderful doctor. Real and down to earth. he was patient and very easy to talk to. He listened to everything I need to explain about my condition and never rushed me. Came up with a plan to help with my arthritis and will follow up with him. Highly recommend
With regards to the staff, they were all courteous and they seemed to be very diligent with what they were doing. With regards to Dr. Sodha, he was everything that I said in terms of the number of questionnaires. And just exceptional professional care. I highly, highly recommend them from here on out. Excellent bedside manner
Dr.Sodha is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I have been his patient since he was at Crystal Run and will go wherever he goes. There are not many Drs like him at all. He is always pleasant, compassionate, understanding and will actually listen to you. He is an asset to your establishment!
What a special person and a wonderful surgeon. He met me yesterday and my surgery was scheduled to meet my needs for this morning. He was kind, easy to talk to , sensitive , thorough and so knowledgeable. I am indebted to him.

The radiology was very rude. The team insisted that I needed an X-ray when there was no need for an X-ray.

Dr. Sodha has been incredible from the first day I met him- still terribly uncomfortable and in pain. He was patient, kind , reassuring and calm. He listened and provided medication when my hand and wrist were swollen. He was encouraging as I progressed with PT and at my last visit he seemed both happy and proud of how well I was healing. What a wonderful person and doctor.

Dr. and his staff are great
So doctors know that it's the best hand surgeon there is. He is very good at what he does, and he is very kind to his patients, and he's an amazing doctor.
I would highly recommend Dr. Sodha. We drive over an hour to see him and he's well worth it. I would not see any other specialist but him and definitely he is a 10.
