All the employees are so helpful. From the front desk to the Doctor's office.

Yes, the back office person, medical assistant who put me in the room and took my blood pressure and all was very competent, was Dr. Boak. However, the front desk leaves much to be desired in all my time going there. They did not look up. I had to ask them repeatedly three times, excuse me, until they did look up. The sign-in sheet was not taken off. And I just find their demeanor to be less than inviting.

Dr Boak's great! There was an issue with blood work and he took it upon himself to look into the problem trying to get to the bottom of it. The same thing happened last year and I was the one that had to get things resolved. It's nice to know he's on my side!

Dr. Boak's care has been exceptional for many years. Now that the RMA practice is part of Hackensack Meridian Health, there are administrative issues. My health history was not transferred to the new system. The patient portal is not allowing me to message Dr. Boak as I have in the past, including for making appointments and requesting medication refills. The portal was the best way to get through to the office because speaking to a live person is frequently not possible and phone messages get lost. The previous staff had taken the time to get to know me and I always felt well cared for and listened to. The new staff is not as friendly. There is an austerity and bureaucratic atmosphere that I do not like. I will continue to see Dr. Boak because of my positive and long history with him, but I am not happy or comfortable with the staff or how things are run under the practice's new management.

My doctor was unable to easily access my medical records from those posted before Riverview Medical Associates became associated with Hackensack Meridian Health.

Dr. Boak is an excellent doctor and I think he is probably my favorite doctor of the five or six that I use on a regular basis, period. I think that his time would be even better served if Hackensack Meridian did a better job of providing the information I gave prior to the appointment. I am told that he does not have access to that information and that would have saved his valuable time as well as my own and we could have spent more time dealing with other issues. That said, he spent as much time as I needed and was very generous with his time and with the information that he gave me.

I love Dr Boak, however, the office is run very poorly. I arrived for tes 30 minutes before doctors appointment at 12:45pm to have a test conducted and was never called until doctor appointment at 1:15pm. Dr Boak had me take echo after my appointment with Dr Boak. This caused a significant delay for me as I got out of the office near 3:45pm. POORLY RUN OFFICE!!

I was there to get a shot; in that context there no need for discussion about avoiding injury.

I would like to avoid having to go through the centrallized phone system and be able to talk to the folks in the office. The centralized phone system is inefficient and should be done away with.

Dr Boak is an outstanding doctor. However, since he was the ONLY doctor on-site on Saturday morning, with an office packed full of sick patients, he was extremely overloaded. Also, nobody answered the phone in the office. My phone call just went to a voice mail that said the office was closed, so I could not make an appointment. I decided to drive to the office anyway and see if they were open. This excellent medical office has gone downhill since Hackensack Meridian took over. Instead of spending huge amounts of money funding arts centers, Hackensack Meridian should be hiring at least one more doctor to work on Saturday, plus someone to answer the phone.

This practice now is impossible to get through to anyone but your answering service people who seem very nice, but the messages don't seem to get through or acted upon. It's very frustrating. Thank you.

I entered all required information about my medical history days before the appointment. None of it was available to Dr Boak. This was my annual physical with Dr Boak whom I've been seeing for many years. My medical history with his office prior to being absorbed my HMH was no where to be found. He is a great doctor but handicapped by the insufficient and ineffective technology systems he now is required to use. I highly recommend him but not HMH.
